exactly, animals have rights & feelings too! they donot judge or condemn. even in abusive situations they still try to be there for the person who has been neglectful or inflicted pain on them. i feel this great need to try to help strays/ferals as much as i can & it hurts my heart to see them trying to survive & knowing so many people who care little for these living beings. my cats are there for me no matter what & theyre my family, like my kids,& im not ashamed to say this.if you dont have the understanding, time, love for a pet then dont have one! an animal is not a thing & not to be "owned" like a piece of furniture...i say im a GUARDIAN to my cats & some cities like San Francisco are trying to legalize this. we need to reduce the indifference & increase animal rights. animals are important, have feelings & deserve adequate care & a loving home! i heard something to the effect as to why animals dont live very long-because they come into this life being who they are, not being influenced by all of humanitys conflicts & complications, doing their best if not more to love unconditionally & knowing how to give of themselves, while we humans still try to figure out ourselves, & what it is to truly love & even in our very long lifetime we may not get it. my cats are old & ill be devastated (as ive been before losing animals) but at least i will know i did the best i could for them & they had a life of love returned. peace to all
