So many people see this as just another action movie. The don't understand the philosophical, meta-physical, and historical background to the many diverse ideas, and statements. For once Hollywood allowed the public to see a "smart" action movie, instead of the usual dumbed down for the masses junk.

Matrix is more than move.
Story told about important things in every mans lives. Who I am? What is this world around me? Does reality is just illusion witch global system created for people?
What you do? Live in others rules, or you living your dream?
Story also shows one men, who becomes Messiah, like Jesus he sacrifice himself to save the mankind. Can you be that man?
And I m sorry because many people don’t like the end of the story, because it is not happy end. Bat that is reality, heroes are immortal. We are immortal. Question is - what do we do in our lives?
Why do you like matrix?
You like to think that your existence can be more than ordinary life and that is different world inside you.
If you want, you can find that world, it’s only your decision.
